- Recent and persistent changes in your bowel habits (diarrhea, constipation, feeling of incomplete bowel evacuation, or unusual pain during bowel movements)
- Presence of blood in the stool (black or bright red stools)
- Bleeding after bowel movements
- Acute abdominal pain or severe abdominal cramps
- Unexplained weight loss or unexplained nutritional deficiencies
- Persistent fever
- Signs of systemic inflammation (tachycardia, tachypnea)
- Cognitive decline (amnesia, aphasia, apraxia)

It does not replace culture tests or PCR tests for diagnosing gastrointestinal infections. It is also not an alternative to specific clinical tests, such as those used to investigate inflammatory bowel diseases or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). The results are based on sequencing analysis of the relative abundance of detected bacteria, whether they are potentially pathogenic, commensal, or beneficial.
Although some sections of the report refer to specific health conditions, the results only indicate potential associations between the microbiome profile and an increased relative risk of presenting symptoms or functional imbalances. These associations are based on recent and increasingly solid scientific data but are still considered emerging. It is also important to note that this risk is dynamic: it reflects the state of the microbiome at a specific moment and may evolve positively or negatively based on various factors, such as diet, lifestyle, or the use of supplements or medications.
The interpretation of the results should always consider your personal health condition, and the recommendations made do not replace clinical judgment. The test provider and its affiliates cannot be held responsible for decisions made based on the report or its interpretation.
